CASE STUDY

Harmoni och Balans - a website for a local massage practice.

A responsive website for a massage therapist in Stockholm. Visitors need to understand the treatments, know what each one costs and how long it takes, and reach the booking page without hunting for it.

01Context

Harmoni och Balans is a one-person massage practice in Stockholm. The site has to do the work a receptionist would otherwise do: explain the treatments, show duration and price, and lead people to the booking system and contact details.

02The challenge

People choose a treatment quickly, and the differences between massage types aren’t obvious to everyone. The information had to be short enough to scan, specific enough to choose from, and lead somewhere - while the booking itself happens outside the site, in Bokadirekt.

03Three decisions
  • One card per treatment

Each treatment has its own short card with duration, price and a plain description, so the differences between them are visible side by side instead of buried in paragraphs.

  • Booking goes straight to Bokadirekt

The practice already takes bookings through Bokadirekt, so the site doesn’t try to replicate it. Every treatment card and the main call to action link directly to the Bokadirekt page.

  • Direct contact instead of a form

Phone and email are listed openly with a short note about booking. For a one-person business, a direct message is faster to answer than a form submission.

04What I focused on as a frontend

A responsive layout that holds up on small screens, readable typography and semantic markup so the page works for screen readers and search engines. Treatment content is kept together in one central content structure in the code rather than spread across the markup, which makes future updates to prices, durations or descriptions a single, contained change.

05AI-assisted workflow

Lovable was used as an AI-assisted development tool. I was responsible for the requirements, content structure, UX and visual decisions, testing the responsive result and iterating on the implementation. The React and Tailwind code was generated and refined through Lovable rather than written entirely from scratch by me.

06Outcome

The site is live. The treatments are comparable at a glance, the route to Bokadirekt is one click from anywhere on the page, and contact details are visible without scrolling to the bottom.

07What I'd do next

Measure how often the Bokadirekt links are actually clicked, strengthen local SEO for Stockholm searches and treatment names, and run a focused accessibility review of contrast, focus states and heading order.
